Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Depart from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport on a flight to Hoedspruit Airport. Upon your arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge.

After settling into your air-conditioned suite and enjoying a sumptuous lunch at the lodge’s restaurant, you will gear up for your first of many adventures in the Kruger National Park. Head out with your ranger and tracker for the afternoon game drive through the reserve. Arrive back at the lodge in time to freshen up before enjoying a sumptuous dinner. Designer menus offer a traditional taste delicately balanced with European flair.

Day 2-3: Big Five Game Drives

With some of Kruger’s most spectacular landscapes, an extraordinary variety of wildlife, and the many species of birdlife and plantlife within the concession, each safari experience is unique.

Guests can enjoy a morning and afternoon safari in open 4×4 vehicles. The early morning safaris are very rewarding with ideal light for photography. Lions are still very active and on the move at this time, antelopes are more energetic and an abundance of birds may also be seen. The afternoon safaris provide an opportunity to see nocturnal animals and perhaps even the elusive leopard. Guided bush walks are available to guests accompanied by highly qualified guides (can be requested in advance at an additional charge)

For relaxation between safaris, the sparkling swimming pool promises a refreshing dip while providing the opportunity to enjoy the rich and varied wildlife that comes to the river for a cooling drink.

Day 4: Morning Game Activity and Departure

This morning, you will enjoy a final breakfast and the last game drive before you transfer to Hoedspruit Airport to catch a flight back to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport.
